Jess Marama is of Kuki Airani / Pākehā heritage, North Island born and bred, now living in Ōtautahi with her two young sons. A member of FIKA Writers, Jess is a writer and spoken word poet who first performed with FIKA in The Whale is in the Sea at CoCA in 2016.
