Philip Armstrong‘s poems, essays, and short stories have appeared in journals and anthologies here and internationally. His poetry collection, Sinking Lessons, won the 2019 Kathleen Grattan Award, and his essay on the Christchurch earthquakes won the 2011 Landfall Essay Prize. He has also published books on Shakespeare and on animals in literature.
