50 YEARS OF WITI IHIMAERA [ON DEMAND]

First published 50 years ago, Tangi was Witi Ihimaera’s (Te Whānau a Kai) debut novel and the first to be published by a Māori author. An unstoppable literary force, with novels, short stories, films, plays and many collections to his name, Witi has just co-edited, with Michelle Elvy, A Kind of Shelter: An Anthology of New Writing for a Changed World and, with Vaughan Rapatahana, the forthcoming anthology of Māori writing, Ngā Kupu Wero. Join Witi, rangatira of Aotearoa stories, for a Sunday kōrero with Arihia Latham (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Waitaha).

This session was a live event on the 24th of August and can now be watched at home On Demand until 11.59pm, Sunday 17 September. To book your On Demand ticket, click GET TICKETS. Buy one session for $15, or all 12 sessions for $120.
